With the growing cases of harassment and assault in today's world, fear is taking place in everyone's mind. People especially girls are afraid to leave their houses. They feel like they are not safe anywhere because that is what we are seeing every day. Not only girls but guys too. Every day we hear a case of this sort which is having a bad impact on our minds. Even if we don't go looking for danger, danger finds us in one way or another, in one form or another. so an essential step is to learn to recognize that danger and respond quickly and smartly.

We cannot stop others but the thing that all of us can do is to make ourselves stronger. Strong enough to fight against the beasts and be your own superhero. All this makes it very clear why self-defense is a necessity nowadays given the current situation. Self-defense is crucial for us to learn, not just for ourselves but for our loved ones too. Training in self-defense not only trains your body but also trains your mind to react quickly and prevent any harm from happening. According to research, 9 out of 10 people freeze when they see danger approaching them and thus they are unable to react quickly and protect themselves or their loved ones.

Self-defense trains your body and mind to react as quickly as possible in any given dangerous situation. Many people think that if a person is bulkier than he is stronger, well that is not always true because the person who knows the tricks is always the stronger one. You see, it's all about the tricks, about how efficiently you are able to use your self-defense tricks and escape the danger.

Being someone who trains in self-defense, I saw that it not only trained my body but also made me able to analyze a given dangerous situation. It helped me in being more calm and alert. It boosted my confidence and had a positive influence on my mind as well. I train under a 5th Dan black belt and he always tells us the importance of being strong and having an alert mind. He has taught me many self-defense tricks, that while training when I applied I was able to take down people that were much heavier and stronger than me.

Knowing the self-defense tricks is what gives you an upper hand while facing danger. At some point in our life, we all have faced some sort of danger, if not physically then mentally. always being alert and knowing how to defend yourself is the key.

Now being a fighter or knowing self-defense doesn't mean that you should start fighting a person who is holding a gun to your head. First, you should analyze the given situation and then use your self-defense if it doesn't put your life or anyone else's life in danger. If someone asks for your wallet at gunpoint, definitely hand it over because that is just not worth risking your life for, but if it comes to your personal safety, you should definitely fight for it. Being strong is important but being smart is much more essential than that.

The importance of self-defense in today's world cannot be denied and besides all nothing seems more satisfying than knowing that you can take care of yourself mentally and physically, which is exactly what self-defense teaches you. Other than training your mind and body, it gives you confidence, helps you develop self-discipline, improves your street awareness, provides balance, and teaches you self respect. Above all self-defense has a positive influence on your life. So, get ready to sweat it out and learn to fight the danger. Become your life's superhero, become the most alert and strong version of yourself. It’s necessary to have things in life that we can rely on to make us happy- taking self-defense classes does just that.
